After a long wait for Ryzen 3000, I finally got the chance to upgrade. It's amazing how many people lined up at Microcenters for this launch. It actually prevented me from going there myself and buying one so I ended up buying from BH instead. I came from a Ryzen 5 1600 which will now be used to run game servers for my friends and me. The reason I went all out on a 12 core processor was that I do a lot of photo/video work and I would like to get back into 3D work with Cinema 4D.
Insane performance for $500. There are some issues being an early adopter, but they aren't significant. Unless of course, you want to play Destiny 2...
I would give 5 stars, but the instructions really confused me which sent me down a confusing path for a few hours and ended up making me feel stupid about messing up the AIO install. The reason is it says to skip a step for TR4, but in the step it tells you to skip, it tells you what screws to use. Other than that this is a great performer.
I was skeptical at first buying an ASRock motherboard, especially for my 3900X since this had fewer VRMs than the ATX sized x570 boards, but boy was it worth it. Thank you, ASRock for making the ONLY mATX motherboard for the x570 chipset!
This memory is very stable. I have not had a chance to overclock it beyond 3200MHz though.
Great for gaming. Not so great for large file transfers.
Been using this card for quite some time now and it has kept up with my monitor upgrade. Most of the games I play can run 1440p ultrawide @ 120fps, but if they can't, simply setting the resolution to 1080p brings me to a stable 120fps.
I will probably never stop using Fractal Design's cases. They never disappoint. I used to own the Define C and when I saw they had a TG version of it I knew I'd be using it for my next build. Cable management is a breeze and the airflow due to the mesh front is awesome.
I got this for winning a competition on Reddit, but they do have some issues. I can't seem to get it to work with Polychrome sync and overtime the LEDs will bug out and display the wrong color...
Been using these for over a year. No problems yet.
